On June 23 and 24, national and international delegates, business leaders, mayors, and civil society organizations will gather in Rabat, Morocco, for the First Alliances and Coalitions Global Forum. The conversations will discuss the best ways to shape and advance the Action Agenda, a joint initiative of COP presidencies, the Office of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Chance (UNFCCC) Secretariat, that aims to help countries, regions, cities, businesses and civil society organizations implement climate action.

To help support this discussion, the Galvanizing the Groundswell Coalition has published a new suite of background materials on climate action and the Action Agenda. The Coalition, a network of city and regional networks, company networks, cooperative initiatives, governments, international organizations, and researchers, has convened dozens of discussions and events focused on climate action at all levels, from national initiatives to local projects targeting a city or business’s carbon footprint. The recently released resources draw on these conversations, and are designed to spark and support discussion around strategies for crafting the future of the Action Agenda and driving climate action forward.

The list and summary of these materials are attached, and available at the Groundswell website.
